Great refresher. Unfortunately, I don’t think religion, or any religious hermeneutics, can be wholly independent of socio-political influences. I’ve no idea when and how Dante’s literature had such an influence in our modern conception of hell and heaven. Yes, even our Chinese culture resembles Dante’s seven circles of torment (but with 11 more floors).

Surprisingly, Dante describes the inner circles as a frozen pit. But very few of us have that image.

P.S. I think there’s a typo on one of your subtitles. You spelled ‘womanwood’ when it should be ‘womanhood’?
