1. Well, yes and no. Depending what you mean by 'empathy'. It's like you can't identify a sociopath with the 'yawn test'. But a sociopath does lack empathy. I don't know though, might be something social scientists want to look into.

2. It's against the law of entropy. It's chemistry. The perpetuation of life leads to greater disorder. That means we consume things that are orderly, and spit out things that are disorderly. Sea water is way more disorderly than filtered water.

3. No. Hahaha.

4. Depends on the plane where you're moving on and whose perspective. If you hold a compass and move towards east, you'll always be moving east from your perspective. If I were to watch you from space, and rotating with Earth, then you'll walk east for precisely half the Earth's circumference before moving west from my perspective.
