I understand this. It’s frustrating to read unnecessarily convoluted passages. As part of my training to be a philosopher, we’re told to KISS. Haha.

But I must admit. Regardless of how simple we write, people will always, always misinterpret things.

Furthermore, it’s difficult — I’ve experienced this — to simplify things. I really takes a lot more effort than editing. Oftentimes, complicated writing is just a sign of laziness and bad habituation.
