I'm not sure if you're familiar with Foucault's Discipline and Punish where he discusses why society shuns individuality.
You do not distinguish 'individuality', 'creativity', and 'normality'. What you seem to be advocating for is 'creativity' but not 'abnormality'. Would you go so far to say that a sociopath, who I believe we deem to be 'abnormal' to be beneficial to society?
