Many developing states in Asia are actually already developing towards this direction. The two countries that I frequent have a distinct ‘garden city’ landscape. Singapore, for instance, brands itself as a garden city.

But I’m thinking if this urban development is applicable for non-tropical countries. It seems difficult to do this for seasonal countries. I don’t know, though. Perhaps you might have some insights from your class.
