Some of the features you’re critiquing are ‘borrowed’ from other intellectual traditions. Like the part on ‘toxic positivity’ is largely derived from Confucianism.

But that doesn’t absolve the ideology. My issues with Buddhism lies largely with its practical philosophy, much like other eastern philosophies as well. It’s how they choose to apply and practice their philosophies, and the consequent institutionalization, that I’m not comfortable with.
